When I was finishing up this color pencil drawing of "Tunisia Man" I kind of surprised myself. Not to brag, but I thought that it is kind of amazing! I loved the image because of the challenge found in drawing the hands, the clothes, the hat, but especially the flowing water. I think it captures the essence of someone who was truly thirsty in the hot dry desert. It metaphorically symbolizes man's thirst for the divine. Blessed are those who thirst for righteousness. Jesus said "whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life." ~ John 4:14.
Unlike living water, you will probably need to refill this mug again and again with your favorite beverage. Mine happens to be black coffee. Also, unlike living water you will need to clean your mug after you use it. Lucky for all of us, the mug is dishwasher safe.
